GARMIN NUVI 42LM UPDATE

GARMIN NUVI 42LM: Garmin Nuvi 42lm is 4.3-Inch Portable Vehicle GPS with Lifetime Maps. It includes the features of free lifetime map updates up to 4 times per year. It has millions of points of interest, including hotels, restaurants, parking, entertainment, fuel, shopping and more. Main Features include Lane Assist with Junction View, Route Avoidance etc.

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING GARMIN NUVI 42LM:

Charge your device as you drive before using it on battery power. Use Garmin Express to register your device, check for software and map updates, access product manuals, and support, and more.

STEP 1:

CONNECT COMPUTER WITH YOUR GARMIN DEVICE: Connect a USB cable to the mini-USB port on the device. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on your computer.

STEP 2:

GO TO GARMIN EXPRESS:

First of all, you have to download Garmin express in your system for Garmin Nuvi 42lm software update.

Select an option:

• To install on a Windows computer, select Download for Windows.
• To install on a Mac computer, select Mac Version.

System Requirements

Windows:

• Windows 7 SP1 or newer, Microsoft .NET 4.5.2 (included)
• 1024 x 768 display, USB port, and 1 GB RAM
• High-speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)
• May require up to 20 GB free disk space

Mac:

• OS X 10.11 or newer
• 1440 x 900 display, USB port, and 1 GB RAM
• High-speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)
• May require up to 20 GB free disk space

STEP 3:

FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTION:

After you go to the Garmin express, download the file according to your system requirements and follow all the given instruction for updating your Garmin Nuvi device.

STEP 4:

UPDATING YOUR MAP:

• Register the device 
• Under Map Updates, click Update Now. 
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

STEP 5:

ACTIVATE MAPS UPDATE:

Now you have to Activating Lifetime Maps follow all instructions:

• Go to lifetime updates. 
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

 If you register the device, you can receive e-mail notifications when a map update is available.
